For Hereiam: ‘The Widow’ By Fiona Barton

Continuing our conversation, I found it very predictable. It was readable and the psychology of the main players was interesting, but I was expecting more of a mystery and more of a twist, so overall a little disappointing.

I didn't expect the 'widow' to know where the body was buried so that was a surprise to me and then she obviously needed psychiatric help. I still enjoyed it and look forward to her next book. I quite like FB's style of writing.
I’m reading ‘The Sister’ by Louise Jensen. I’m not far into it but such is the over-abundance of descriptive language that I get the impression the author has, at some time, been a keen student in a Creative Writing class. It’s advertised as ‘A psychological thriller with a brilliant twist you won't see coming’. I hope it lives up to that claim.
