What test do the candidates for high office in lilliput have to undergo?

If my memory serves me correctly they have to do rope dancing.As they are only tiny people this is to them a feat of great daring the ropes being a couple of feet of the ground which is huge to them but miniscule to Gulliver.
I think they had to leap over sticks as well held by a thread of some sort.Long time since I read Gullivers travels !
