FAVOURITE BOOKS- 10-16 year olds
4 Answers
Hello,
I wondered if anyone could help. I am doing a project designing front covers for a range of books aimed at 10-16 year old mainly girls but some boys. I wondered, anyone of this age (or knows anyone of this age):
what are their/your favourite books?
What makes a good front cover?
Many thanks
Kate

the Adrian Mole books (though not too keen on their covers).
Feeling sorry for celia & Finding cassie crazy both by Jaclyn Moriarty - liked their front covers, oh and also she's brought out a new book called Becoming bindy mackenzie, all her covers are bright and eye catching, i know it bad but i always tend to pick books out by there covers!
The georgia nicholson books by Louise Rennison, again they have bright colourful covers.
My mind's gone blank now!!
Hope this might help a bit!! ill try think of some more!

I always liked the Jacqueline Wilson covers, and the Louise Rennison covers too. The Louise Rennison ones are brilliant because they have the kind of matt-finish covers with little bits in shiny-finish. I liked stroking them as I read the books.
For inspiration on colours, look at the pre-teen magazines on sale in your local newsagents. They're very fluorescent and glittery, which is what girls like really.
