It would require the brilliance of Peter whatsit - Lord of the Rings director (Jackson?) to make it into a good book as its so descriptive.
Do read the other books though - they get a little - well, silly I thought - Ailyah (was that her name?) invents everything and there's rather a lot of "how's your father" in v.descriptive detail.

Yeah i have read all of them too but really only enjoyed the first three after that i found there was too much repitition about the landscapes and the sex was same old same old so once i had syphoned all that off the last couple of books were incredibly quick to read.
never realised there was a film about the first one though.
