can somebody help me track down the name of a book I read a few years back about a lawyer sent to jail. He ends up sharing a cell with the top dog and befriends him by writing letters for him. I remember the book had lots of swearing and it was very funny. Any help would be great! thanks.

Sounds a bit like John Grisham's 'The Brethren'. I say that because it's the only Grisham I've read and it rings a bell. Check out Grisham's titles here: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/g/john-grish am/
