I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good authors of tudor fiction.
I have exhausted Phillappa Gregory and Jean Plaidy and I'm looking for something new.
I am also interested in the Plantagenets too.
Any suggestions welcome, thanks!

Her main writings are in two series, The Lymond Chronicles and the House of Niccolo, so if you decide to give her a try just check that you get them in the right order as nothing is worse the finding a book you're enjoying is from the middle of a series.
If you like a mystery set around that time the books by C.J Sansom are good the Dr. Shardlake series ..There are three so far Dissolution ,Dark Fire and Sovereign .
Karen Harper is good too ..The Elizabeth !st series starting with The Poyson Garden.

Probably a bit hard to get hold of, but Mme LeMarchand rates Norah Lofts' historical stuff. Also take a look at the crime section if you fancy something a bit different - there are a number of "historical mystery" authors working in the period.
For something more "out there" try George R R Martin's "Song of Ice and Fire" books. Though ostensibly fantasy, the plot has many historical parallels and if you like the whole "courtly intrigue" thing you may enjoy them.
