reading suggestions please

in the past i have loved dark fantasy such as clive barkers great and secret show and weave world, and the first half of stephen kings dark tower series. and on the other side of the spectrum, i have recently enjoyed the curious incident of the dog in the night time, and life of pi. anybody out there who likes the same sort of things got any suggestions for me?

I know they're a bit old but have you tried Clive Barker's Books Of Blood? They are all short stories but very engrossing.

Try The portable Door by Tom Holt the first of the Paul Carpenter trilogy and Philip Pullmans His Dark Materials trilogy. The you could try the new Torchwood novels.:-D
Have you tried other Clive Barker books? I liked Coldheart Canyon and he's written some others which are just as good. Some of Stephen Kings other books are really good - try Insomnia, The Tommyknockers and Needful Things
