Ugly Martha

I am trying to find an old book which was in our family maybe from as far back as tha 50's. It may have been titled 'Tales from (or of) Wonderland' but i'm not certain on that. it was an illustrated collection of children's short stories and poems with the most memorable being a story called 'Ugly Martha' about a lonely old lady feared by all the local children due to her ugly looks, and eventually befriended by them with a very happy outcome. Any info appreciated.
