Literary Agents/Book Publishers

have almost completed a novel and am desperately looking for a reputable Agent or Publisher.

I am an Irish expatriate living in the USA and have become very sanguine about American business practices and feel that I should be looking for an Agent in the UK .

Is there anyone who can help me find such an animal?
