Well I'm hoping you're lapsing in to text speak as otherwise we're going to have a problem! :c)

Anyway... What are your interests? What authors do you like and why? During your studies did any books make you feel passionate about particular eras? Mine was a contrast of the works of Mary Wolstencraft and Jane Austen and the different ways they had of essentially making the same point regarding the role of women in society. But that's where my interests lay at the time. You nee to think about what yours are, when in time and why you're interested in that topic.
This question is a joke right?
Agree with China Doll - you need to decide what the focus of your dissertation is going to be before doing a bibliographic search.

No good reading hefty treatises on post-modern authors if you're going to write about Chaucer, for instance.
