cant remember title or author of book

i read a book about 2 young children a boy and a girl,
but the book was written in letters that they wrote to each other!!
the front of the book if i remmber rightly was white with a rose on it, i think!!!
the boy and girl were best friends then the girl falls pregnant by a boy from school,
the boy moves to america with his parents an they carry on writting to oown another the boy getts married has a little boy of his one an the boy and girls children start to write to eachother!!
the parents then get together and start a relationship

This was driving me crazy because once I'd read through your description i was sure I'd read this book too! After much wracking my brain and muttering to myself I'm pretty sure it's 'Where Rainbows End' by Cecelia Ahern
