I like Lynne Reid Banks. Her trilogy : The L-shaped Room, The Backward Shadow, and Two Is Lonely are great I think - but especially The Backward Shadow. By the way I've just finished Don't Look Back by Karin Fossum, and I can highly recommend that - best book I've read in ages.
My husband always said I read a load of rubbish and it is true. At the moment I am reading a book by Alexander McCall Smith the last in the series about the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency. Unusual and interesting.
I enjoyed those books by Alexander McCall Smith star. There are so many authors I find it hard to choose the best. Michael Connolly, and Peter Robinson,
My favourite author? Tricky question, depending on what genre I'm reading. I adore Dickens, for instance, but then I'm a teen fiction fan. Kevin Brooks, Keith Gray, Catherine Forde and Allie Kennan rate among my favourites there. I love crime too, and for that I like to read Jim Kelly, interspersed with a little Agatha Christie.
However, the last book I read - and am actually currently still reading - is an autobiography; Dennis Avey's 'The Man Who Broke Into Auschwitz'.
