Hp Deskjet F380 printer - blinking light - print cartridge

Have installed a new colour cartridge, the test page printed ok, this was a couple weeks ago. Trying to print something now and the light is blinking. Always seem to have problems when I want to print something and have not used it for a couple weeks, have un installed and re installed printer again. Has not sorted the problem! help please.....

Read the first couple of pages of the manual and it explains what the lights are and what the likely cause of them flashing will be...

It could be that the paper tray is not loaded properly or is jammed.

I have done all it says in the manual but it wont sort the problem

So you've opened the back and checked that the print cartridge is inserted properly?

Oh dear. I've run out of suggestions except to take it back to the shop and get them to get it to print. Sorry.

Is it a 'genuine' cartridge or a compatible? Have you tried fitting another one?

It is from the Refill Centre, this is the first time I have ever replaced the colour cartridge.

Arrrr! That could be your problem. It's not accepting "non HP cartridges". Maybe using the more expensive pucker cartridges for the first few months will work and then revert to the cheaper ones after a while. That worked with my Epson and also using non Epson ones could have invalidated the warranty.

I have been getting the black cartridges from the Refill Centre and never had any problems, this is the first ever colour cartridge I have had to replace.

Well I think it doesn't like the refill colour cartidge then. Hope it sorts itself out.
