Did the poet and author Edward Thomas write a book (or essay entitled 'As It Was'...or a title similar to that? Ta Muchly.

Seems it was his wife, Helen. Part of 2-vol autobigraphy.

What I remember about this poet is the poem:`I remember Adlestrop` and the fact that he died in Arras in First World war.

Mainly his poetry Scotman and those of the countryside, which are very beautiful, somewhat obscure, but passionate nonetheless.
