Really funny Scottish poet...
5 Answers
In around 1995 or 6 I came in from the pub at round 11 pm and started to eat my chips with Radio 4 in the background. Suddenly I realised I was listening to the funniest poet I'd ever heard in my life and nearly choked on my food. I've got to try to trace the guys name and really hope you can help me.
The poem I remember best was about a guy going on a walk on a lovely day when he sees a little bird, to which he puts out his finger so it can sit on it and sing to him. But he's forgotten his glasses. So he doesn't realise it's an eagle. Then you get 'Eagle you b~s}ard give me back my hand!' etc etc.
Can any one please please help??? I got bored searching through McGonagall's work and I'm not sure it's him anyway. I got the impression that it was being read by the poet himself but am not sure when it was recorded if it wasn't live.
