My daughter is 14 years old and has moved on from teen fiction to more adult books. However, there are so many great books out there, I don't know where to start. I don't want to make choices for her - she loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy and To Kill a Mockingbird so I think she will have varied taste.
Can you suggest your Top Ten books for her to try? Thank you!

She might like Ben Elton. Start her off with Stark and, if she likes that, suggest she reads all the others in release order...
Two by Waugh that i have read and reread are Scoop and The Sword of Honour Trilogy. They're both laugh out loud in places.
At that age I used to love Agatha Christie but that was a long time ago. Why not try Terry Pratchetts Discworld books.
Freud on course, a witty look at life from one who lived it to the full
Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time and Life Of Pi would be my recommendations.
Is that Clement or Sigmund? ^^^
Quality literature doesn't have to be serious.

What about the funniest book ever written, Three Men in a Boat, or any of P G Wodehouse's 'Jeeves' books? Or, for something more modern, anything by Douglas Adams.
Terry Pratchetts earlier books, my lads loved them.
Clement, sandyroe
Something like 'The Stars Tennis Balls' by Stephen Fry might interest her. It is a modern reworking of 'The Count of Monte Cristo' and I found it very entertaining.
My wife loved Georgette Heyer at that age and (much more recently) we know another young female bookworm who loved them too ... start with "The Grand Sophy".
Those other posts weren't there when I started typing. It's good to see that others like a good laugh!

Suggest fahrenheit 451,catch 22 and anything by agatha christie or wilbur smith for escapism.
Terry Pratchett wrote some of his books specificaly for teen-agers (not the discworld ones.) I think they were about the carpet people. I know I read them and enjoyed them as much as the discworld series.
If you want to make her head hurt give her 'The Third Policeman' by Flann O'Brien. :-)
And At Swim Two Birds by the same author.
And in the unlikely event that you wanted to put her off reading for life then Finnegans Wake should do the trick.

Laurie Lee ,Cider with Rosie and As I walked out one Midsummer Morning .
Hemingway .Agatha Christie .
Not forgetting the nuclear option of 'Puckoon' by Spike Milligan.
