A Big Favour?

Please may I ask a Big Favour? Please could someone go into Amazon and look in Books using for their search the title Keeping the World Away and it should be the first entry and it is the paperback by Margaret Forster (1Mar 2007) and if there is an image of the front cover of the paperback book, please could whoever it is, please describe it for me. I would like to know if the paperback cover is a picture of the painting by Gwen John; a small corner of her room, I think? Ta Muchly Indeed!

I don't think that it's Gwen John. THe picture is of the rear view of a
dark-haired woman dressed in black looking out of a high window down on
to trees and houses below.

Many Thanks Calibax, but if that's the image on amazon, then it's not the one for me...I was hoping for a reproduction of a painting by Gwen John...but a Big Ta!...smile.

woodelf, the second book down, same title but dated 2006, shows a corner of a room. There is an open window and below it is a oblong table with an open book on it. Beside the table is a wicker chair with a shawl or coat on the arm.

Dave, I am totally blind and I hate having to say so, but that is why I asked the question because I want to buy the book as a present and I can hardly ask the recipient. I'll have a look at the one you mention Vulcan, price wise that is, I can manage that!...smile and Many Thanks Rowanwitch but I won't be able to see it, though if it's the same as Vulcan's description, then it will be the one.

Vulcan, I did ask another question, but it doesn't seem to have been included, but never mind, I went and asked a neighbour if she could look at item three on the list, as this was 2006 as well, but there was no image included, so I'll go for your word on item two in the list with the pic you described.
