what is the name of an artist`s studio or work shop? what is a group or series of nine called?

1) atelier = studio (from the french for attic, I think)

2) maybe nonette?

Ateliers are usually high up studios with single artists in them (studios of course can have many artists in them of course); perhaps a nontet for the group of nine?
