RETURN TO THE OLIVE FARM - CAROL DRINKWATER
3 Answers
Has anyone read Return to the Olive Farm and can explain to me what "Marley" means? I don't mean the step grandson but it sounds as if it is a type of weather experienced in the South of France.

One reference is: "After Marleying in Rome, Goethe travelled incognito to Sicily" but there are many other references which must, I think, refer to the weather in the South of France. I have googled without success - hence my question here! I might have to try and contact Carol Drinkwater to find out the answer.
