Any comments on a book called "The House on the Borderland"?

It's been a long time since I read the book, but can remember enjoying it. I don't think it would appeal to many "modern" readers, though. Certainly much better than Hodgson's (IMHO) over-rated "Carnacki" stories.
If you enjoyed "House", you may also like H.P. Lovecraft's stuff - though I suspect you already know of him - and (if you can track them down) Arthur Machen and A(braham) Merritt.
