did jeffery deaver ever explain how lincoln ended up in the wheelchair?

if so, which book was it?

Yes he did, unfortunately I can't remember the name of the book, I'll have to put my thinking cap on!

What I do remember is that the villian in the case blamed Rhyme for the death of his wife and children in an explosion, this was the same explosion that crippled Rhyme, he then set about trying to murder Rhyme at home by playing a doctor I think ~ sorry, this is a bit garbled I'm off to try and find the name of the book!!

I've had a wee look at Deaver's website, I'm still not sure but think it may have been the Bone Collector!

thanks libertie, i've been meaning to read that for a while, more incentive to now. always wondered bout that.
The first book about Rhyme is The Bone Collector. In it Deaver explains quite clearly how he became quadraplegic. The seconf book is the Coffin Dancer and he explains again but not in such detail. 

Sorry libertie is wrong Rhyme became disabled while at a crime scene and the roof caved in.

The Doctor did try to kill Rhyme this is Bone Collector
