Felt Tip Pens For Adults?

I have seen some gorgeous adult colouring books I would like to buy as gifts for Christmas, but what do I buy for them to be coloured in with? I'd prefer felt tips for the depth of colour, rather than pencils, but wouldn't they show through the back of the page onto another picture? Are there such things as decent, adult, felt tips? Or should I just buy a pack of 50 or 100 colours in W H Smiths?

Yes felt tips will travel through to the page behind. Watercolour pencils are a nice alternative.

My son has Promarkers as he does a lot of Manga drawing - he's 13 but these are vastly superior to felt tips and can be blended etc.

didn't read that bit woof - my son uses fancy paper for his drawing.

I'd get some nice quality pencils then.

If they are beautiful images, carefully cut out and scan each picture - then they can be coloured with any medium.

Get two books. Colour the odd number pages in the first one, and the even numbered pages in the second one.

Yes Pasta, those would look good transferred to acetate to give a stained glass effect.

'Fraid I'm old fashioned - it would be good old coloured pencils every time, decent quality, good range of colours.

Dover do colouring books with quite thick pages; felt tips don't bleed through.
