Where Can I Find A Book Dont Know Title Or Author But Know Synopsis

HI there I read a book a few years back and it was amazing I gave it to my mother and she promptly gave it to a charity shop before I could get the title and author trying to find it for over 3 years and it is driving me mad. The synopsis was this hard done by woman kept saving money in a jar to run away and her mother was an alcoholic and on the day she had a stroke she won a fortune on a horse and she ran away to Ireland and started a new life for herself with the money. Her husband involved the police to look for her and had a fling with the policewoman who was in charge of looking for her she had a son and it transpired that in the past she had a handicapped daughter that she killed.

Why not ask your local library for help?
I would imagine they often get similar requests.
