Sometime back on AnswerBank someone mentioned the above author and I thought I would give him a try. Well, after the first book, I was hooked. Reacher is a man's man but for this old granny I enjoy every page. Can hardly put the damn book down to get on with my knitting.

Was probably Craft48, she loves him.... She got me hooked as well granny
I keep meaning to read the Reacher books, my mate recommended them years ago. Unfortunately all I'll see when I read them is that wally Tom Cruise.

Hello to you Mazie, how you doing? Hope you are well and not having any problems with this awful weather. Here in Dalkeith we had a lovely day. I sincerely hope Lee Child is fairly young and will be giving us a lot more of Reacher but what can this guy possibly get himself into next I wonder. Take care Mazie, and I wish you a good night's sleep.
Hi Granny you live not far from my Children, they live in Edinburgh. Newhaven and Newington. I'm very well. Lee Child I believe was a Teacher, he now Lives in New York and I think he's in his 50's so a few more books still to go.

I hope you're well and enjoying life as well as these excellent book.

Rocky... please don't let Tom Cruise put you off. Such a bad choice for Reacher. xxx

rockyrackoon, how they picked that wimp Tom Cruise to portray Reacher is beyond me. Never saw the movie thankfully. I prefer to visualize someone like to Tom Selleck. George Clooney is a bit too smooth. Who do you think would have been the right choice?
In Robert Mitchum's absence, Liam Neeson
I've not read the books so haven't formed my own mental image of Jack Reacher, but I understand he's about 6'5" and built like the proverbial, so Tom Cruise he ain't!

I'll give the books a whirl and see if anyone springs to mind, though I doubt there are many actors of that stamp. :)
I would have picked Liam too Humber or in his prime Nick Nolte
good call there mazie
I have read all the Jack Reacher books and love them. My advice to new readers is, forget about Tom Cruise. Films of good books rarely live up to how you felt about the book.
I so loved Nick Nolte a long time ago :o)
Totally agree chrissa...Although I did love the Harry Potter films, not far off the mark
Jeff Bridges possibly, but he's a bit short

and they're all getting on a bit - if Jason Statham could learn to act?
Lol..Just put Lee Child into the search box and you'll see loads of people bemoaning the fact the Tom Cruise was picked to play Jack Reacher .
Hugh Jackman would have been my choice .
However don't let that put you off ,the books are brilliant .
Read them in order if you can though .There are two new ones in the pipeline .
Twenty Seconds Ago..out in October and Personal out in September .

Ah, shaney another excellent choice...I think sweet dreams are the order of the night for me ;o)
