Movie Sequels?

Last night, in glorious Blu-ray on my HD plasma TV, I watched Master And Commander- The Far Side of The World for the third time. We wondered why they shouldn't make a sequel to such a brilliant film, possibly involving the battle of Trafalgar.

On the other hand my favourite film of all time '12 Monkeys' is so good imho that a sequel would almost be blasphemous.

So what film would you like to see a sequel to and what sequels have you wished had never been made?

They should have left the star wars trilogy alone!

I'm not sure I could name a film that SHOULD have a sequel, they are usually disappointing.
I'll keep thinking..good question.

I don't know whey didn't do it with Master and Commander - there are plenty of books in the series.

They've already done the Titanic sequel

I thought the War Of The Worlds film was great but the sequel which I watched on one of the SF channels on Sky was really shockingly poor. It's hard to believe the makers of the first film had anything to do with the second. Maybe they didn't-how does that work?
