Different things make people unhappy.

I'm a happy soul. Not much gets me down. My youngest son is the grumpiest person I've ever met. He was born like that.
Unsure about families but individuals; if you are happy then nothing is bothering you enough to spoil your happiness, but if you are unhappy it could be for a variety of different reasons. But ultimately whatever the cause unhappiness is unhappiness; it's just the depth of sadness that changes.

happy families are not all alike. Happiness is Subjective and what one family would be happy to accept another would be unhappy.
