Paddywak - very good, instead of covering it up why don't they just move it, temporarily if needs be.

Any excuse, you've either done the Course work/revision, or you haven't!
I don't know ag,but as it says in the article some people are very superstitious and the longer it goes on the more people believe the story.As to why they don't just move it's probably hung there that long that tradition says it's got to be there or the roof will collapse or something equally bizarre will happen.
Must warn a young friend going there this term.

True, 'myths' can be perpetuated and students here have probably allowed themselves to be 'out-psyched'.

Spookily, my other art 'post' today revolved around 'bi-polar'.

I need a lie down....
Interesting, in the rooms when exams were held where I worked all the pictures ,posters ,displays and art work were covered up in case it could be of advantage in some way to the sitters .
That makes about much sense as actors saying, "Macbeth" in the dressing room.

Weecalf - sounds more than a tad bizarre! Far easier to have some paper folded up ones sleeve and using sleight of hand ;-)
