Angels in Art

Hi, I'm looking for an artist who paints/draws/sculpts angels.  Any ideas?

I Have some very nice pictures of the Archangels had them some years they are really nice can't remember firm I got them from but if you live near a cathedral the shop usually has some and you could write to places like Walsingham they have a wide selection in shop on the market place and huge shop at the RC shrine  I sent away for pictures I have think it was somewhere in sussex. hope this is some help, do you want them for a project ?  september is a great month for angels 29th is the feast

angels occur, ahem in religious art and the hey-day for that is the sixteenth and seventeenth century in France and Italy and Spain

Angel painters - MichaeAngelo all over the sistine chapel. Raphael did a few - Botticelli, Fra Angelico lots and lots, Giotto lots, Duccio lots

France - hmmm I'll have to think

Spain - the Baroque spanish period is stuffed full of saints in various ecstatic poses praying to all sorts of angels and dead saints - Zurbaran - not Goya nor Velasquez

If you want English - I think there are a few in the Wilton Diptych.

it gives all the artists just to mention a few.
