Hi. Not sure which section to use, but here goes. Can anyone recognise who or what the following description brings to mind. Its a horse body with a man's head with long curly hair and beard. On its back is what looks like a cherub type baby and I think the baby may have something in his hand. Not a great description but would greatly appreciate any ideas. Thank you.

The knowledge of Abers never ceases to amaze me.
Canary, some centaurs have fallen on hard times. There's one has been reduced to appearing in a TV advert for yoghurt.

Thank you all very much for your replies. I guess my description can't be that bad.I can now look up why the cherub is on his back. I'll enjoy probing further, so thanks again
In pedantic mode, I would say that a centaur (of Greek mythology) would not encounter a cherub (Judaistic). The young, winged boy being carried is probably Eros (or Cupid in Roman mythology).
canary - tweed tweed - I mean 'Hear hear !"

BuenChico et al seem to spend all their time with heads stuck in wiki

I did score one once - someone said ' yeah vis story - oink oink tweed tweed any ideas anyone ? "

well they did in this one for chrissakes

( note cute New testament reference)

from a real Pedant
// well they did in this one //

Which one?
I think it's definitely Chiron - unlike other centaurs he was reckoned to be a teacher/nurturer of youth and schooled a number of mythological heroes. Can't work out which one the cherub would be, though.
