Morning all.

I collect Booker Prizewinning Novels and have a signed first of every winner except for three. One recent acquisition is the 1980 winner by William Golding.I am exploring the possibility that it may have more value as it may be an association copy.It is inscribed for another William though I cannot establish the surname yet.

Anybody have any idea the best way I can find out if Golding knew this person if I can decipher the name?

Thanks!

Anybody read Golding?
only the text, not the dedicatons... uif you decipher the name you could try googling the two names together and see if anything comes up. Or you could check his biography if your library has a copy

Thanks jno - I suspect it could be a very difficult task but it's worth finding out!

maybe it's to William Shakespeare? That could be worth money.
