'Molly Vickers wets her knickers'
This was the first line of a poem I heard at Primary school about 25 years ago. Does anyone know who wrote it and its title?

Know its not much help but its called a childs bouncing song-never knew it as a poem but as a song

yep i just googled it it is Child's Bouncing Song (1968). This is what it says the song is:

'Molly Vickers, wets her knickers, Georgie's father's big and black, cream on Sunday, milk on Monday, I'm the **** of all the back. '

Hmmm, this might not be so appropriate nowadays, i dont think they teach it to primary school kids anymore!!

i forgot that would be censored its c*ck in case you were wondering!

Thanks for your help. You've helped me track it down.
It's from a series of poetry books entitled Voices.
This particular poem is in Voices 1 by G Summerfield- Penguin Books 1968. And yes, I remember it from Primary School and it saddens me something so funny probably wouldn't be used in today's syllabus. Thanks again!!!

I remebered this poem too - it was included in a book called 'the only child' I think and was the book resposible for getting me hooked on reading!
This poem can also be found in the wonderful touchstones anthologies - (better I think than Voices) attributed to Tony Connor
