One of his books, Snow Country, is a kindle daily deal today at 99p.
I’ve read a few of his books, in fact Birdsong is one of my top three favourite books ever. I’ve enjoyed other books by him but not in the same way as Birdsong.
Snow Country gets mixed reviews so I’m wondering if anyone here has read it, and if so, what did you think?
I've just bought it Vagus but not read it yet. I think it's the 2cnd part of a trilogy but each can be read separately.
The 1st is called something like Human Traces.
I've really liked all of his books that I've read.
Hi Rosie. Yes I think you’re right about the trilogy.
I’ve just bought it too, decided to risk 99p :)
I do like his books although I find they need a lot of concentration which I’m not up to at times, I tend to swap between lightweight easy happy books and those like his which take more effort.
Hope you enjoy the book.
Our local library closed just before Christmas, I can’t remember the last time I went actually, possibly ten or more years ago.
I only ever buy the kindle daily deal books, 99p each, I must have hundreds of books on my kindle and like to browse through them when I’m looking for my next read.
Vagus, check out Bookbub, they email me once a day with book offers in the 99p to £3 range and always at least one free book. I've enjoyed a lot of books I would never have read otherwise and it is easy to delete the duds.
I'm registered with public libraries in three different counties, you can usually register online. Between 6 and 10 free books for 21 days from each, the ability to reserve books out on loan, all without leaving home.
I’m with bookbub, Barry, and get a daily email from them but thanks anyway.
I think between them and daily deal I have enough books to choose from to keep me going.
