hi i have a french speaking exam tomorow and we have a sheet where we can write down 60 words to help us remeber what we have to say but we arent allowed full sentences and conjugated verbs and i dont have a clue what a conjugated verb is so could someone please tell me asap thanks

To conjugate a verb means just to say it in the order of how it's used, so for example, for the verb 'faire', to do, you'd say:

je fais I do

tu fais you do

il/elle fait he/she does

nous faisons we do

vous faites you do

That's the present tense of the verb (faire, to do), conjugated.

I don't understand if you mean you have to conjugate the verbs or you aren't allowed to, but that's what conjugating a verb is. Hope it help. Good luck with the exam!

I am very worried that someone who has a GCSE doesn't know how to conjugate verbs! Who says standards aren't lower than O'Levels....

Bit late now, but one of the most useful terms in any language is the word for 'thingummy' or 'whatsit' when you don't know or have forgotten - in French machin or truc for example...
