I would like to have local artists display their work in my pub..

How would I arrange this? Would it be expected for me to pay them? Or would they pay me for dispaying the work?

There will be loads of people wanting to display the work -
put up a sign in the pub and perhaps contact a local photography club or college (do you live in a rural area?).
When word gets out i'm sure lots will come.
Be very selective though - it has to suit the pub and appeal to the customers. In terms of payment - offer the works for sale and agree a commision with the artist 10-15%.
It has to be mutually beneficial.

I am secretary of our local art club and I echo gary baldie's sentiments. Our members have occasionally displayed work in a restaurant free of charge or commission, but more usually a commission is charged on sales. One large local cafe does it for 20% commission, all of which goes to charity. They change the display once a month with a different artist or group of artists. There is a long waiting list.
