yes, but it doesn't show up when you're on a topic page and looking at the abbreviated list of questions. Lots of punctuation vanishes like that, but it reappears when you click on the question itself. So your punctuation was fine (fortunately, given what your post was about).

posting a new 'question' just to correct an apostrophe - which everyone knew anyway - is conversely too much attention to grammar and is only going to upset the site police, as it bumps other questions onto page 2 ... try to keep all related replies in the original thread.


i agree on your original Q though, very annoying, especially when it has no practical effect on shortening the word... like 'woz' and 'carnt' etc
