Does it have to have a name? can't it just be the number of the house it is in in the road? otherwise it's not much of a home really, only rural or posher homes have names that arn't bound to have stigma attached. If it was a childrens ward or specialist unit I can see a name coming in handy, but not a "home" is it for looked after children in the community? If so for me I wouldn't give it a name.
For me the thought of the fox has always been a comfort. She looks out for number one... and yet takes such good care of her puppies, carrying them out into the sunshine outside the den for no other reason than that sunshine feels good. She'll eat anything and trick anyone. Her den has several entries (up to five, I've heard) so that she'll never be trapped but always find an escape. In short, she's a survivor. So I'd go for something 'foxy', like The Den or something a bit more inspired, perhaps, but with the fox in mind.

How about " T he Inn of Sixth Happiness" like the title of the film in which Ingrid Bergman starred where she helped hundreds of children . I don't think I'll ever forget that film it affected me for life 'especially as it was a true story.
or another name could be "the Home of Hearts " let me know what you think .

Maybe something related to childrens book characters - Im thinking of something like winnie the pooh which seems to reach all children. Its not class/gender specific just comforting and appeals to all ages. I like pooh stix house or something like that. of course there are no doubt horrific copyright laws so perhaps not!
yeh buggy i like the name and loved the film, only thing is its quite a mouthful, shame really cos it gives the feeling of love/safety and as you say happiness, ok lets say this house was in a large field and there were lots of trees around, any ideas with this setup? by the way thanks all for your interest and answers, be glad to hear even more.
