Book title and author please?

About 12 months ago I read a book which I think was called Shangrila? A fictional story about an Aussie who escapes from prison in Australia and then heads to India and eventually Afghanistan. Essentially a hotchpotch of the different adventures he has and people he meets. Can anyone help me with the title and author - I think perhaps I have the wrong title as I cannot find it on Amazon? The book's called 'Shantaram' and is by Gregory David Roberts. A truly fantastic read! It's a novelised version of real-life events.
