Yes, me for one, though any right thinking creative people should boycott this plagarist's work.....www.realmuggles.com if the website is still working for more info.
I started reading the first book, but never got to the end of it. Its OK, but is very derivative and second hand. So, yes, you can put me down as a don't like. But its a book for children and its a long time since I was one.
There are sooooooooo many other books I would rather read/ have enjoyed reading since Harry first appeared. I know I'm out of the loop, but I feel absolutely no compulsion to read about a child wizard.
Me. Didn't read the books but saw the movie and thought the storyline was bland and poor - i know it's aimed at kids but if the books are anything like the movie then i will avoid like the plague. ps. how many books ARE there in the series? (Just so i know how many films i have to endure with the kids).
Darth Vader, Pratchett fan (now there's a set of books worth reading...)
Me. When i was in hospital my mum gave me some grapes and the first harry potter book to pass the time. Put it down within 10 pages and read the grape info instead. Utter rubbish. The film was twice as bad and made no sense. Stood up at the end and asked my 5 year old cousin what i just watched. she explained and made no sense - just like the film. Darth the 5th is due out soon but in Japan there are 7 books - 2 illegal. i just hope that Harry fails his a-levels so he cant get in to uni and puts an end to the books.
Ahh darth though you are on the dark side of the force you know a good author when you read one...the turtle moves!!.....and there are supposed to be 7 books in the series the fifth due out shortly so expect another barage of bland....at the end of the seventh book he's supposed to graduate and that ends the series.....here's hoping it comes soon.
I'm with mikewith - no interest whatsoever. I'm not a great reader these days but there a million and one books i would go for before the speccy one. Mind you...JKR's quite fit isn't she (or maybe my vision is blurred by signs!)
I don't like the Harry Potter books. Far too rough on the buttocks.

Thank you. Was starting to think the world was being taken over with Harry Potter fans. I myself haven't read the books, not past the first page of the first one anyway, and have no desire to ever read them, despite all the hoo-ha about them.
sft42 are you siting the realmuggles site as the origional source of muggles or is there something more that I missed? If it is just the muggles then you should have a look at the back of british bank notes and find one with Charles Dickins on. Pickwick papers, written about 100 years before your site (an therefore well out of copywrite) is teh oldest source of Muggles that I can find.

I have to read a few pages of Harry Potter every night to my young son at bedtime. I CAN'T STAND IT!!! It's so boring and poorly written. I have a developed a technique where I can read aloud whilst thinking of something else. The good news is that my son is beginning to find to it boring now, too.
well i saw the first movie and i didnt like it so it put me right off reading any of the books.
put me on the list too. tried it as daughter was having it read to her class gave up - even daughter said "thanks dad, I think its really boring" so much hype over it too, what next HP loo rolls? at least we'd be able to wipe ourselves on his face!
Yes,Mr.Stevie Wonder is said to care very little for the print edition.
You bet! Go to www.mugglenet.com and click on Wall of Shame (or something) There's a whole bunch of ex-fan e-mails. I read most of them they made me laugh so hard I almost pee in my pants!!!
The first HP book i read was the chamber of secrets and i read the first two pages and hated it. It wasn't until we were taught about 'expression' when writing at school that i really learned to appreciate the books and the movies. I am now obsessed with Harry Potter. The book really has depth and harry thinks just like any other average child would (only he isn't). But that's what's so awesome about the series. It's got action, comedy, romance and adventure. All the things harry gets to do i wish i could do,ride on a flying broomstick, his school is a castle, his friends aren't backstabbers the magic alone cool so you gotta give him his props.Daniel Radcliffe does help with thsales as well....he is gorgeous for a british guy and i dont usually go for british guys! Anyhoo, some people will never appreciate good literature!
I definitely agree with shari_harry! I love the Harry Potter series and Tom Felton isn't to shabby for a British guy either!
well i think u's have no sence of books! harry potter is just the best!
YOU ARE CRAZY THE PEOPLE WHO DON'T LIKE THE BOOKS OF HARRY POTTER ARE REALLY STRANGE....................................................
I think the Harry Potter books are amazing! I have to admit when I first read them, I was a tad confused, but when I read one, I had to read the others too. I love the books, and I love how she made others read more. They may be marked children's stories, but I know some grown ups that read them. If children can read adult books, why can't adult read children's books?
