But it says here
The Emmerdale promotion is based on the idea of a modern masterpiece. The creative aims to capture the essence of the soaps characters as well as the drama of the show in an entertaining tableaux of images. It will run with the tagline Its far from quiet in the country and features many of Emmerdales key characters in a slow motion scene.

I agree I think it is based on Rembrandt
Remember the whole idea of a successful campaign is to get people discussing it.
There were societies in 1630s Amsterdam who would go out and have a good time AND had money, so a lot of them commissioned group portraits, of themselves in tableaux.
and the Emmerdale ad is like that,
which I suppose iswhy it looks like a Rembrandt. Is there an eye somewhere in it ?
There is a little too much sex -shadrack is pawing a womens leg I think....
