I'd like to know what everyone is reading at the moment, bookwise not magazines.

I have read Time Travellers Wife, spanner and I absolutely loved it!! One of the best books I have read in a long time!
I am currently reading Shadow of the Wind and Pride and Prejudice
Right now I'm reading Attila by William Napier. Although its a work of fiction so far it is a really good read, if of course war, blood and lust are your thing ;0)
I've just finished "A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian" saxy-jag, very funny.
Atomised. Horses Arse and We need to talk about Kevin.
Pickalily, I'm glad you've told me that. Usually, the minute a title hits a prize list or a top ten, I give it a wide birth (although the Carnegie winners are usually a safe bet). However, I picked up a copy on its way through work and it actually looked interesting, so I thought I'd give it a go.

I have to read Nora Roberts or two at some point. Not really my cuppa, but her books are flying off the shelves at the moment and I guess I should really do some research.

orange-gnome I read shadow in the wind. I didnt like it that much to be honest although the story was good. Thanks for all your responses.
Forever Odd by Dean Koontz
Short stories by w somerset maugham. Especially liking The Razor's Edge.
my best friend's girl by Dorothy Koomson
Only started it a few days ago, was just reading it at work in my lunch hour but it is a sad book (but also funny). I had to stop because I nearly started to cry!
It is more for the chicks of this world though!
I recommend it!

The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, fantastic read well written
Richard and Judy were raving about The Historian-It's one of their recommended reads and one I want to read next. Really enjoyed The Island by Victoria Hislop which was another of their choices.Perfect holiday reading.
Anything by Robert Goddard. His books have many surprises and twists especially the first one I read about an architect in about 1850 (sorry I forget the title) - don't read the last page early the twist at the end is startling. The reading is easy and he keeps on top of the plot without it becoming too complicated.
is it just me or iseverything ****, very very funny book everyone should read it!!! shattered by mavis marsh true story about a man in a coma, makes you think twice about stwiching of life support, the beginners guide for the recently deceased, and the midnight choir by gene kerrigan not sure about it yet.
Martina Cole. The Graft. Good so far but too busy to have got very far!
Im reading farnhieght 451 right now for my higher... wish me luck!
I'm reading Plain Truth by Jodi Picoult (just read her book called My Sisters Keeper one of the best books Ive read in a long while) and Im also reading (again) The Power of One by Bryce Courtenay also a very good book.

All are highly recommended if you like a novel that makes you think.
