Someone save me the bother..... who dies?

it would be convenient for the film makers if it was dumbledore
I got by post this morning from Amazon. I've just started reading it.
The future Mrs skelly is about 400 pages into it just now, (1pm Saturday). She picked it up at midnight and read it for about 2 hours before going to bed. I've just taken her some lunch, in bed, she hasn't even bothered to get up yet, and I don't think she has any intention of getting up till its finished. At the speed she reads at I would expect that to be some time around 6 ish. Oh, and so far no-ones dead yet.
Just for the record, she finished the book about 7 o'clock, got up, got dressed, and started reading it again. I've had to play second fiddle to a 15 year old schoolboy all weekend.
Not read any of them and have no interest in them at all.
It's way too long, the plotting is kind of clunky and I don't think JK Rowling can handle emotional scenes very well - the whole death of Sirius thing just doesn't ring true. I think she got it absolutely right with 'The Prisoner of Azkaban', but it seems that the fourth and fifth have been exercises in self-indulgence. Are the editors scared of telling her to make cuts??
Read it over the weekend. Very good. Especially liked the twins 'wizardly wheezes'.Completely agree that the death of Sirius was a little on the badly written side. Erm, I think the books are fun, if I hadn't read them up to now I don't think I would bother, but because I have been hooked on them since 1999, I am going to have to finish the series (assuming that JKR does!)

Have just finished it now after 6 days. I did like it, but the 3rd book is still my favourite as she ties in so many sub plots that were there all along in the 1st and 2nd book. I have to admit that I did think that Hagrid was gonna snuff it, but guessed it would be Sirius before the battles really started - it was a shame he died, but I agree I think it could have been written better.
