What is the most considered the most professional background colours as a backdrop for an actor's agency photo?

Pale neutral is what my wife always uses and my son's a photographer and says something inconspicuous that will enhance not detract from you, so pale neutral again.

A lot of actors favour a black-and-white shot because even a subtle dislike of a colour of garment can affect a casting agent's decicion. Unreasonable - but true, and therefore allowed for in the profession.
