I have to write a substantial visual analysis of this painting. Can anyone tell me something REALLY interesting and preferably little known about this work please. I want to make the essay interesting by incorporating facts that my tutor won't know (and he knows LOADS!) Also, opinions please - Is the answerbank a valid form of research for academic submissions if I can verify the information from an appropriate source? Could it be considered cheating? or just creative research, i'v consulted all the usual sources already, books, journals etc. Thanks

Well it used to be on the back of a 100 franc note

here's an interesting article that reckons that liberty is partly inspired by the Venus de Milo

Any good?

Question Author
Any good? You or the article? Both great in my opinion. Do you know this stuff or do you make it your purpose in life to find out? I knew most of this stuff but I think this article is particularly nicely constructed and certainly consoldates an awful lot of fragmented information.

Thanks Jake
