Yeah that's always a good one. I must admit to using "oh b****r " on a rather too regular basis! (and a**e is also a good one)
I'm afraid the C word is a bit of a favourite but my favoueite expletive is my friends 'jesus t*tty f**king christ!'. I almost died laughing when I first heard that.
for f *** sake is mine
f**k is mine, so many uses!
I don't swear except when in severe pain. (Then it's the F word!).

A friend of mine found a great substitute for swearing. He used to shout the name of a former Newcastle United football player. With the right intonation it can sound really foul, even though it's totally innocent. The name? Paul Cannell.

b*****ks is ace! love it!
it needs two syllables to have greater effect, I suggest Oh ******* ********
The c word is a bit of a favourite but I tend to reserve it for people I particulary dislike - I sadly know a couple of complete c***s.

The f word is my usual expletive of choice if things go wrong i.e. at work, on the computer, playing video games when I usually end up refering to myself as an f-ing idiot but - and again only ever refering to people - I do like "toss" with an "er" on the end. It just sums certain people up and I like the hard almost spitting sound you make when you say it!

I hate both the F word and the C word - I am not prudish - well not much - I just do not like to say the words. Whereas B*****ks is a lovely word to say
I took part in The V. Monolgues once which has a speech about the c word reclaiming it as a 'normal' word rather than a swear word.

It ends with the speaker trying to get the audience to shout the word with her. Apparantly when Glenn Close performed it at Carneigie Hall the whole audioence shouted with her. Mmm .. my problem was that i was in a small theatre in the middle of the Surrey countryside. And I'm not Glenn Close!

I did, however, have a plant in the audience in the shape of my husband and so asked him to shout out "C**T" , at the appropriate moment, as an encouragement to others. Luckily the audience were kind and did join in much to my and my husbands relief . Though had his been the loan voice I did think it would have been really funny as it would have sounded like he was making a solo comment on my acting style!
When I was a boy, my grandmother, not know for her swearing, used the word "Vladivostock" as an expletive. Most people where I lived hadn't heard of Vladivostock, and the word had a sort of angry ring to it.

I hardly use it, but I find the word Tw@t very satisfying....

Definitely need syllables. My Danish friend used to say something like Versaten which I think means S**t, you can say it with such fury and not offend anyone
f---??? that's pretty unimaginitive.

Take a look at Herge's Captain Haddock

we have a place here on the Isle of Man called Ballakilpheric it is not a swear word but if you stamp your foot and say it out loud it sure makes you feel better it is pronounced balla kill feric
I dont - never have, never will
due to working in secondary schools, I now have to say 'pants' when things go drastically wrong!
Why are people using asterisks?

In Ireland we have diluted '****' to '****' to make it more acceptable.

I have a penchant for '******', and 'Spheroids' for ********.

But the beauty of '****' is it's internationalism, crossing cultural divides and national tongues.

I've also heard that '****' is making a comeback as a word being restored to it's former place inthe language.

Is it ****!

Ha, ha. The asterisks are courtesy of theanswerbank!!

It's like swearing by numbers! I love it!

Can anyone fill in my blanks - I've read it again and it's got me F****ed!!
