Some time ago I read a book, I can't find it anymore and suspect it has been lost, I don't remember the name or the author, but if someone can provide me with either, or ideally an ISBN that would bee good.
The plot was an attempted terrorist biological Attack on the UK. The heroes were a man and woman, I think the woman was MI6. In the end she saves the day by swallowing a vial of the viral agent, thus condemning herself, but saving untold numbers of people. The only other detail I remember is that the virus was going to be spread by spraying from planes, I think by hand-held sprayers. Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Do not recognise the book you describe but given the subject could its author have been Stella Rimington, who is now a writer of such fiction after a career in the intelligence services? Good luck with your search, New Dazzler.
Thanks for the suggestion, I have seen a book or two by Ms. Rimmington, the one I read was some time before she started writing however, but it was a valiant effort. It's also not "The Hot Zone" or "The Cobra Event" by Richard Preston as I still have both of those.
