I looked at 'college work 2007', hope that was the right bit!!

I think the clothes look very good and fashionable. They also look wearable, which I think is a good idea!!!
I liked all the designs, especially the white jacket. I think the dress would look better in different colours.

Good luck

just a thought - If you put a link to the actual page, more people might have a look!!

i know what you mean about the dress, unfortunately at college i am not able to choose the fabrics or colours of them !!!! its so annoying because i know everything could look so much better !!!!

I really liked the designs.
From a presentation point of view I would tailor the clothes to fir the model a little more closely.
The amount of effort that went into the corset is obvious but it seems a little loose on the waist which stops the "wow factor".
The dvb dress is well-conceived and I love the empire-line height of the fastening rather than the conventional waist height, far more flattering for those women who are conscious of their belly. Again the fit could be closer, the sleeves are a bit long and the neckline gapes slightly.

I would love to see some Biba inspired designs as I think you have the creativity to put your own spin on it. Overall I am so impressed and a little scared that you are only 17!
You obviously enjoy the decorative side to the design and your ideas and inspirations are good. I feel, however, that you should really concentrate on getting the fit right. Do you intend to use your friend as your "muse" during your time at college? If so make up your basic pattern profiles to her size and be prepared to alter them to fit with each new design. Try to make a toile of the design first so that all alterations and adjustments can be made prior to cutting your outfit cloth.

The cloth chosen by the college is unfortunate but you enhance it well and further practice will only make your designs so much more distinctive.

Good Luck.
I meant to add that on the corset I feel it would benefit from more eyelets as they seem to be overspaced. Never skip on a design, it will always show in the end.
Should read "never skimp on a design".
