Does anyone else remember seeing a cartoon on the television about "The Haywain" by Constable?
It starts by showing the original painting, then a car pulls up and a family begin pic-nicing.
Before you know it, there are people swimming in the pool and others kicking a ball about and brewing up tea ETC.
The final indignity is when an ice cream van complete with chimes turns up.
By this time you cannot see the pool for people.
I have never met anyone else who has seen this cartoon, but I definitly saw it on television many years ago.

I remember this cartoon. It was on the BBC probably about 30 years ago.
Since that time I too have been trying to find out where to get a copy

Hi rovinman,
It would be great to watch the cartoon again.
Maybe the television archives can come up with some information as it would make a great advert for the
"Green party ".
