My Great Aunt had a small print of a rather sad painting, presumably Great War era , showing a prostrate lady with her arms stretched over a bed & holding a letter/telegram & at the bedhead was a baby. Not a cheerful subject I know but the image has stayed in my mind over 50 yrs so it had an effect. Any ideas anyone?
