Dambusters.
Working my way through the Babylon 5 DVDs (currently on Season 3 - I'll have to get Season 4 soon, but I don't think Season 5 will be out by the time I'm through with them :-( ). Have even got Mme LeMarchand hooked. They're almost as good watching them while knowing what will happen - you can appreciate all the foreshadowing and little hints even better. Probably start on "Firefly" once we run out of B5's.
I've just had my favourite B & W film - 'Dead Of Night' returned to me, so that's down for a look tonight. Reccomend it if you like seriously scary films with no blood or gore what ever (it was made in 1947!) and I'm about to get 'The Day Today' on DVD, satire as it should be - dangerous.
You might think my taste is a bit suspect woofgang as I've been watching 'Willo the Wisp' (I love Evil Edna and Mavis Cruet!) and also the complete 'Bagpuss'. Next will be 'Picnic at Hanging Rock' and 'Brief Encounter' followed by 'Snow White' and 'Remains of the Day' . Oh, 'Finding Nemo' is also waiting to be viewed!
Currently savouring the complete series of "The High Life", by watching one episode a week. Only one left now though. Probably one of the funniest comedies ever to grace our screens. Just waiting for Tutti Frutti as well.
Big, Busty and Bootyful volume 4........ahhh....the joys of a really good still picture on DVD eh?

Stars to everyone, aren't we a diverse crowd. Cetti, are you me?? I am also a bagpuss and will fan, also clangers of course. sf42 be ashamed of yourself, but stars for your honesty ;-)

PS isn't Babylon 5 underrated? I also think that stargate now beats out star trek enterprise (sadly)
As it's the anniversary of D-Day approaching, I've bought 'the longest day' on DVD. Makes me wonder if I would be willing/able to make the same sacrifices.
where can I get a copy of Big, Busty and Bootyful?
Blackbooks. Really funny. We've got series 1 and 2 on dvd and series 3 taped from the tv.

I loved the High Life, wish they'd show that again.

Cetti...Will O' the Wisp was fab! I loved the Moog - which begs the question, was he a cow-dog cross? I kind of thought that when I was younger...think that was mostly cos his name suggested it. Bagpuss is just great, even today. Finding Nemo brilliant too...each time I watch it, there's something else to enjoy. I thought Monsters Inc was great, but think Nemo beats it. I watched The Big Lebowski again recently, love it to bits. Re the D-Day anniversary...I watched a repeat of Band of Brothers last week. I know it was American made...but using the real guys who actually took part in the landings to add commentary at the end....wow, that was really powerful and moving. You can still barely imagine what it must have been like.
Was really disappointed taking wee one to see Shrek 2 last week cos of course it ain't out yet. He wasn't bothered cos he didn't want to go in the first place and was being bribed!
My 3 year old is with you on Shrek, woofgang. We're all word-perfect now. Other DVDs that are outstaying their welcome in our house at the moment: Monsters Inc, Ice Age (particularly any scenes involving Scrat) and Toy Story. One day she'll leave home and my DVD player will once more be my own...
Why don't they make a separate Scrat film?! I'd go!
Recently, "Chasing Amy " " Beautiful Girls " and " Ronin " on Video ( from chick flicks to action flicks , eh? ) and " Payback " ( Oh , how i wish i could get back time on that one ! )
The Shawshank Redemption,Vol 1+2 of Spaced,Phoenix nights Vol2.

Reinforces my perception that diversity of any kind, is a positive thing and is not a problem when allied to good manners. I am going to close this now, so no more ratings, thanks to everyone for their input and some good suggestions that I will certainly follow up on
