Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Now that JK Rowling has officially named her next book who do you think is the half-blood prince?? I initally thought it could possibly be something to do with Neville Longbottom, but have since remembered that both his parents were wizards therefore he is full blood. Anyone any suggestions as to who it could possibly be??

Has anybody given a thought to the another Prophacy that harry hears while fighting Death Eaters.It says,"...at the solstice will come a new...and none will come after...".I think this has something to do with this prince.

I personly think that you are all guy because, if you really payed attenchin that you would all know that herminey, she is mugblood and think of all the people that have graduated, olver wood,percy wesley,all the foren exchanged students,and you know!!!!! if you all lissened simes f. like he said(me dads a muggle,me moms a witch bit of a nasty shook for him when he found out) But i won a contest and got to go on a toer of england and it was amson i even met j.k. rowlling i talked t her for hour about the 6th book and she praticly told me who is was but i won't tell you but just follow all the cules and you'll get it but i will give you one hint the 6th book gose back to the 2ed book and revilles alot of stuff and think of lookheart he was in the second one and he's half blooded and j.k. rowllings said in her interview that she showed him in the 5th book for a reason.

I think it could be crookshanks.  He was introduced in COS and Sirius has said Crookshanks is more than he seems.  We never do hear much about him other thank he hated scabbers.  I am sure other students must have had a rat for a pet but it only shows crookshanks chasing scabbers.  He knew who Scabbers really was, I think. It would be quite a surprise for Hermione.

I can be wrong, but I thougt JKR sais the CLUE is in CoS and a clue is NOT a person!!!

And half-blood prince can also mean half royal, half normal.

Bach to the clue, in CoS Voldemort sais (I'm not sure about that) that he and Harry have a lot in common. Maybe they're related and maybe there is a person at earth who is family of both???

But I have to admit, I don't know who  the HBP could be. And can somebody tell me how to open the door on the JKR site? Please????

I think it is or Harry or Voldemort or, most like it, a new character.

For the thousands time YOU CAN NOT OPEN THE DOOR!!!! The only one who can open it is jk Rowling herself or the people making her site.

I don�t know who the HBP could be but jk said that some theories that are made ( not particularly on this site ) get very close to the HBP. That tells us nothing, but I always have to think about it when I read the suggestions.

It could be Neville Longbottom. Remember Dumbledore telling Harry that after Trelawney's prediction regarding the downfall of Voldemort, they had two people in mind - one was HP and the other was Neville. Neville has more reasons to be angry at Voldemort since his parents are still at St Mungo's.

Personally, I think that the half-blood prince will be Seamus Finnigan.  He is, after all, half-blood and a boy (which would make him a prince) as we see in the very first book on pg. 125, 2nd paragraph.

"I'm half-and-half," said Seamus.  "Me dad's a Muggle.  Mom didn't tell him she was a witch 'til after they were married.  Bit of a nasty shock for him."

Plus, the thing about Dumbledore being the half-blood prince, he is much too old to be a prince.  If he is half-blood royalty, he would have to be the half-blood King!!!!  ;P 

Also, I read that J.K. Rowling brings up some characters that don't seem of too much importance in the first 5 books.. she must've brought up Seamus's parental background for a reason (notice that he is one of the only non-important characters who she makes a point to bring up his parents wizarding background.) Tell me what you think of that plz!!

I think the HBP is somebody we know already and I think it's going to be the last person we'll think of. And I know that Mark Evans is just a pass-by (i don't know how to write that, I'm not english) character, but I still think he's going to play a bigger role.

it cant be sirius cos he's dead unless the veil that he fell into has a special thing and they dont actually die, i still think it is dudley, his ego will then become big and will make the series of books even better because he's the type that malfoy would be friends with

look as i read hp books more and more so is my understanding increased. it is said that its something related to second book. then here is my conclusion ----- the half blood prince is - Gildrog Griffindor yes only he is the one whose death is not mentioned anywhere and he is one of the greatest wizrd ever know . Also there is new defence against the dark arts teacher and may be he is Griffindor. so just wait and mark my words in ur mind - tejas ( godu )

I am through the door, too! But I can not get the word either. And I do not understand the last sentence: If you want some clues about us simply answer who are we? That does not make sense. When I have the answer to the riddle I do not need clues about it. PLEASE HELP!

i think we can rule out the mark evans possilbilty rowling said the prince was interdroced in book2 evans is a realy common name and i think he has no relation to harry i think its colin creevy he was interdoced book2 and he only know about his muggle father his mum could be a witch and i deffently think mark is a muggle because fudge said at the hearing that he has no record of any witch or wizard in little whinning apart from harry in book 5

Since its not Harry or Voldemort I am all behind Hagrid on this one! Hagrid is Half wizard, Half Giant, which is where the half blood is. And for some reason I think they said something about his mom being royalty...wether or not thats true...no idea... don't hold me to that, but I don't know. She also said that she was about to call the Chamber of Secrets the Half Blood Prince but that it didn't have much to do with the story. The Chamber of Secrets also had a lot to do with Hagrid...so there is my thoughts.

But you cannot choose between us You must take us one and all-this is the most bizarre of the lines and i just dont get it, except that if you take one of these, you cant just take one, you have to take everything, so this thing is sealed away with others of the same kid (?)
